Very cool place to relax and unwind away from the chaos of the city, without the crowds of Central Park. This is a great mix of historical buildings, food trucks, visitor center, day spa, wedding venue, restaurants, playgrounds, walking/biking paths (and bike rentals), and spectacular views of the skylines of Lower Manhattan & Jersey City, plus Lady Liberty and Ellis Island. Great place for families, singles, and couples...there's something for everyone here. Pack a picnic or buy food or snacks from the on site vendors. The ferry ride over and back is quick and smooth. Ride for free before noon on Saturday. What a gem to have access to this historic island!
